The regional cluster CU Austria strengthens and bundles the competencies of highperformance companies and research institutions in Austria, which position themselves around the topic of CFRP.
As an independent association under Austrian association law, the regional cluster is headed by Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Roland Markus Hinterhölzl (Upper Austrian University of Applied Sciences, Head of the Lightweight Construction and Composite Materials course at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Natural Sciences) together with DI Herfried Lammer (Wood K Plus – Kompetenzzentrum Holz), Markus Wolfahrt (Polymer Competence Center Leoben GmbH) and Gerald Pinter (University of Leoben).
In addition to thematically oriented workshops and a series of further education offers, a coordinated cooperation of the members in terms of content is strengthened within the framework of working groups. Currently the working group Engineering is headed by Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont. Gerald Pinter (Montanuniversität Leoben) and the working group Manufacturing Processes is headed by Manuel Frank (FH Oberösterreich).
